Standard Warranty Information

Thank you for purchasing your product(s) from Quality Bus and Truck Parts.

All products come with a limited warranty that covers any defects when the product is used under normal conditions. When placing a warranty claim, Quality Bus and Truck Parts will work alongside the customer to determine the best solution for each unique situation. Possible solutions include, but are not limited to; repairing, replacing or issuing an appropriate refund. Engines and Transmissions have specific conditions that vary from most products and customers should refer to each specific section for those items. The customer is required to keep all receipts. Lack of proper receipt(s) will void the warranty.

Mechanical products have a limited warranty covering 90 days after purchase.

Electrical products have a limited warranty covering 30 days after purchase.

Used Engine Limited Warranty & Installation Information

Please Read Before Installation!

Thank you for purchasing a Quality used engine! Not only have you saved a considerable amount of money over a new part, but you are helping the environment by recycling.

This engine comes with a standard 90 day warranty under normal driving conditions. Engines are guaranteed against engine knock and excessive smoking. If there is a problem with the engine, please contact Quality Bus & Truck Parts via email (parts@qualitybt.com) or phone (888-315-2575) to immediately determine the best course of action. Quality Bus & Truck Parts maintains the right to either repair or replace the defective unit. This limited warranty is void if the engine has been disassembled before our inspection.

**THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER THE COST OF LABOR, TOWING, SHIPPING OR LOSS OF INCOME**

Upon delivery, please carefully and completely inspect any damage that may have occurred during shipping. Any and all damage must be noted on the delivery ticket before the driver leaves or you cannot claim ‘shipping damage’ for any warranty claim.

Prior to installation, we suggest performing the following pre-installation maintenance. By performing this maintenance you will prolong the life of this used engine and protect its warranty. The customer is required to keep all receipts. Lack of proper receipt(s) will void the warranty.

Pre-Installation Maintenance:

  • Drain and replace engine oil, using manufacturers suggested oil specs. and to the recommended levels.
  • Replace all filters: Oil, coolant, air and fuel filters.
  • Replace thermostat and gasket. Flush the cooling system and replace with recommended antifreeze to the appropriate level. Check the radiator.
  • Replace the rear main seal and inspect all other seals and gaskets prior to installation.
  • Inspect and clear/replace, if needed, water pump, belts, fuel lines, pick-up screen to oil pump, hoses, etc.
  • Prime lubrication system to avoid dry start. Manually turn over crankshaft BEFORE installation.

**OVERHEATING OR RUNNING THE ENGINE WITH NO/LOW OIL FOR ANY REASON WILL VOID THE WARRANTY**

This used transmission comes with a standard 90 day warranty under normal driving conditions. Transmissions are guaranteed against slips and hard shifting. If there is a problem with the transmission, please contact Quality Bus & Truck Parts via email (parts@qualitybt.com) or phone (888-315-2575) to immediately determine the best course of action. Quality Bus & Truck Parts maintains the right to either repair or replace the defective unit. This limited warranty is void if the transmission has been disassembled before our inspection.

**THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER LABOR, TOWING, SHIPPING , LOSS OF INCOME OR ANY ACCESSORIES, SUCH AS ELECTRICAL SENSORS/COMPONENTS**

  • Drain and replace the transmission fluids to the levels recommended by the manufacturer. Using only the approved fluid.
  • Flush cooler lines and test for proper flow.
  • Replace all filters.
  • Check manufacturers specifications and programming.

**OVERHEATING OR RUNNING THE TRANSMISSION WITH NO/LOW FLUID FOR ANY REASON WILL VOID THE WARRANTY**

Reviva Engine Information

Remanufactured engines from Reviva must be registered with Reviva prior to any warranty claim. Please visit their website located at https://www.reviva.com/warranty-information for all warranty and registration information. Customers can register and file any claims there. If the customer requires any assistance, Quality Bus and Truck Parts will do our best to assist in the matter.

Engine Core Return Policy

Please verify the following requirements before scheduling a core pick up. Call 888-315-2575 or email parts@qualitybt.com to schedule a pick up.

  • Core is of the same type, model and part number.
  • Core is being returned in a plastic POD or on a banded skid.
  • All fluids MUST be drained before shipping/pick up.
  • Red caps MUST be transferred from the new engine to prevent leaking.

**Federal EPA requires that ALL fluids be drained from all engine cores before shipping. Failure to comply will result in a charge back of $75 for each instance.**

Protective plastic PODS, if received with the engine, must be returned with the core or a $200 charge will apply.

For engines shipping on skids, the skid should be retained so that the core can be properly secured and sent back for proper credit. There is a $50 dollar fee for these skids, when returned with the core, this fee is returned as well.

To received full credit for a returned core, it MUST be free of any visual cracks or damage. Please view the following document as well. There are many pieces on the engine that can determine the core credit issued. The following link will show you the list of items we’re looking at when determining the core credit amount.

Transmission Core Return Policy

  • Torque converter is secured with brackets transferred from the new transmission.
  • Red caps MUST be transferred from the new transmission to prevent leaking.

Shipping/Return Policy

Shipping:

Parcels:

Deliver time varies. All orders require a correct and complete shipping address. In the event that packages are returned to us due to an insufficient address, the customer will be contacted for clarification and may be subject to additional shipping charges. As such, when providing your address please be as complete as possible. If you have any concerns about your address contact us right away by calling 888-315-2575. If we become aware of any delays, we will contact the customer as soon as it is known.

  • For items that are on the shelf, in stock, orders placed before 3PM CST will ship the same day the order was placed. Orders placed after 3PM will be shipped the next day.
  • Orders placed on Saturday, Sunday or on Holidays will be processed the next business day.
  • Any errors in your order must be reported within 30 days.
  • International shipments are subject to a $15 handling fee plus the cost of shipping. For more information email parts@qualitybt.com.

Large Items (Engines, Transmission, etc.):

Shipping via LTL is available to any of the contiguous United States (lower 48, excluding Alaska and Hawaii). For those ordering international (or from Alaska/Hawaii), such as Canada or Mexico, we recommend customers call with shipping information and we will work to find the most viable solution. These items take time to crate and prepare properly for shipment. Please note it may be up to 48 hours before the item is shipped. Customers are encouraged to call 888-315-2575 for any questions regarding their order status.

Returns:

Customers are required to cover any shipping costs to return products they wish to return, except in cases where it was due to our error (ex: customer was sent the incorrect item or an item that was faulty) For these scenarios a call tag or refund will be issued to the customer upon processing the return.

Returns & errors must be reported within 30 days. Refunds and exchanges will not be granted for errors due to buyer negligence. Please note returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee and are generally applied to special order items.
